Corsicana — Oak Valley Crime Watch invites you to attend meetings, which are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Community Center. Everyone is welcome to join the April 1st meeting. Bring a friend, a neighbor or whomever you would like along with your favorite dish. We serve dinner pot luck style and talk about our community at large.

The annual board meeting of the Richland Cemetery Association will be held on April 1, 2014 at the Richland Civic Center. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and everyone is invited to attend.

Navarro County Cancer Survivor Support Group will hold its first meeting at 6 p.m. at the Corsicana Cancer Center, 306 Hospital Drive. All interested folks are welcome to attend.

The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce in Blooming Grove. All interested people are invited to attend. For more information call 903-673-2635 or 903-695-2633.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income to file their tax returns at the Kerens Public Library. To schedule an appointment call  281-682-0928.

The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the post.  All members and prospective members are invited to attend. For further information call 903-874-3938 after 2 p.m.  Like us on Facebook (American Legion Post 22 Johnson-Wiggins). This is a one-time change due to the District 6 meetings at the Ennis American Legion post on April 5 and 6.

Eureka Crime Watch will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Eureka United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Special guest will be Precinct 2 County Commissioner Dick Martin. Join your friends and neighbors for this update on county business. Refreshments will be served.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post on North Beaton Street. All members are urged to attend as there are important business items that must be discussed and decisions made on upcoming projects. Visitors are always welcome.
