Corsicana — NARFE, National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 1191, will hold its monthly meeting at the Sirloin Stockade restaurant in Corsicana, Texas from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Meet John Gantt, guest speaker, and also our NARFE NE Area Vice President, Dewey LaRochelle, who is visiting our chapter.  Members, guests, and all who are part of our federal family come join us. VFW on West Hwy 31 will host Country Sue Karoake from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Come out, meet friends, and have a fun evening.

 

Aug. 17

Back to School/Stay in School Rally will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at IOOF Event Center, corner of 45th St. and Second Ave. Family members, students, youth of all ages, community members and educators are welcome to come meet CISD Administrators, principals and teachers. There wil be vendor booths, giveaways, games, activities and more. Busses will arrive at 8 a.m. at Bowie, Carroll, Drane, Navarro, Sam Houston, Fannin, Travis and the Northwest Apartments to pick up adults and students, and will return them to the school site after 12 noon.
