Navarro Regional Hospital is hosting a free smoking cessation presentation by the American Lung Association on Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. in the classrooms at the hospital. This hour-long program is open to the community. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to Anna Paul at anna.paul@navarrohospital.com or call 903-654-6870.  

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site open from 1to 4 p.m. to assist the elderly and low income file their tax returns at the Kerens Public Library.  Call Judy Kilgore at 281-682-0928 or Stuart Schoppert at 903-875-9310 to schedule an appointment.  Walk-ins are welcome but will be worked around those having appointments.

The Warehouse Living Arts Center will open the 43rd consecutive season with “Moonlight and Magnolias” by Ron Hutchison on Thursday, Jan. 30. The cast features Mark Bedgood, Brad Cook, Marissa Hoskins Dobbs and Frank Means. Other performance dates are Jan. 31, Feb. 1-2, 4, 6-7-8. Evening show starts at 7:30 p.m.; the matinee on Feb. 2 starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at the theatre box office at 119 West 6th Avenue in downtown Corsicana across from the post office. Feb. 1

Cars of Navarro County will host its season kickoff car show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Exxon Tiger Tote on West Highway 31 at 45th Street. Entry fee is $10 with 17 awards to be presented. Proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. For more information call 214-418-5775.

Feb. 1
