Corsicana — The Navarro County Sheriff's Office has deputies and investigators on scene at the FM 2859 boat ramp Monday night after a man was found with a possible shotgun wound slumped over in his car.
Sheriff Elmer Tanner said a passerby discovered the man about 8 p.m. Monday, slumped over in his car and unresponsive.
Emergency medical personnel from the Corsicana Fire Department transported the man to Navarro Regional Hospital. Tanner reported at about 9:30 p.m. the victim had died.
Investigators remained at the scene Monday night interviewing witnesses and going over the scene of the incident. Tanner said his office would be investigating the death as a homicide unless evidence supported otherwise.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
