The Corsicana City Council will once again consider changes to the city’s dance hall ordinance when it meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Corsicana Government Center.
Action on changes to the ordinance was tabled at the last council meeting. Council members will discuss the changes during at 5 p.m. work session prior to the regular meeting at 6 p.m.
Also on the work session agenda, a discussion of a tax abatement request from Pactiv, and a discussion about the conveyance of some land.
On the council’s regular agenda, public hearings on changes to the Dance Hall ordinance, and a request to close a utility easement at 3100 Mountain Drive, followed by votes on both ordinances.
Resolutions for the Pactiv tax abatement request, the nomination of Pactiv for Enterprise Project status, the donation of property on East G.W. Jackson Avenue, and the conveyance of property.
The council will also be asked to approve the appointment of George Burrell to the Civil Service Commission.
