Corsicana — Vacation Bible School - June 17 to 21st from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Navarro Mills Baptist Church, 1095 FM 667.  All children ages 3 through Sixth grade.  For more information, please contact the church at (254) 578-1560 or email brochris112@gmail.com.  Pre-registration will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, June 15th.

Wesley United Methodist Church, 3308 N. Beaton St., will hold Vacation Bible School July 15-18 from 9 to 11 a.m. for kindergarten through fifth grade. For more information call (903) 874-0718.

Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2105 E. Jones Ave., will hold Vacation Bible School June 24-28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. The theme is “A Rip-Roaring Good Time with Jesus.” Bible study, arts and crafts, and refreshments wil be served. All ages are welcome to attend. The host pastor is Rev. Alfred Cox Jr. and Sis. Rosie Kelly is the director.

Life in the Word Bible Church, 1408 N. Beaton, Pastor Emma Brown-Jessie, will host a garage sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 15 put on by the Women’s Ministry. The Men’s Ministry will give away free hot dogs to children in the neighborhood.

Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. Vacation Bible School arrives at MBC Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. with classes, fun, games, singing and refreshments. The theme for VBS is “The Mighty God.” Class groups are offered for age groups 2 years through adult. The adult class will meet for one hour only from 7 until 8 p.m. The commencement service will be held on Friday, June 21 at 7 p.m. All are invited to take part in VBS even if not pre-registered. May Sunday be a blessed day for all fathers on Father's Day. In observance of Father's Day, Sunday School and Morning Worship will be held as normally scheduled at 9:45 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. respectively. But, the Afternoon Worship will be dismissed in order to give families more time together on this special day. VBS will pre-empt the normal Wednesday night schedule this week only. MBC gratefully acknowledges the wonderful blessings God has provided this fellowship and the wealth of opportunities before us. Come and be blessed.

 

The Love Chapel Baptist Church located at 400 North Benton Street will celebrate the Ninth Pastoral Anniversary of their Pastor, David E. Wilson and Wife, Minister Sharron D. Wilson at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013.  God has blessed Pastor and Minister Wilson and they are dedicated and faithful servants unto God and the ministry at the Love Chapel Baptist Church.  The theme for this occasion is: “Commissioned To Preach The Gospel” from the scripture text II Cor. 4:1-5.  Guest churches are: Johnson Memorial COGIC, Elder Joseph Johnson, Sr., Pastor;  Church Of The Living God, Bishop Annell Haney, Pastor; Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Alvin E. Smith; and Liberty Tabernacle of God, Pastor Erma J. Waites. The spoken word will be brought by Pastor Erma J. Waites. The public is cordially invited to attend.
