Corsicana — The aftermath of the devastating explosion at the West Fertilizer plant has left hundreds affected in the tiny town on I-35 between Waco and Hillsboro. The biggest need initially will be monetary aid for relief agencies serving the hurting and homeless following the blast.
A donation center has been established at the Corsicana and Navarro County Chamber of Commerce at 120 North 12th Street, said Eric Meyers Jr., Navarro County Emergency Management coordinator. Monetary and check donations may be made there.
We're working to obtain information on other assistance, including blood drives. We'll post that information as it is obtained.
Donations also may be made to the American Red Cross.
