Corsicana — Greater Love Outreach Fellowship Church, 700 East Park Avenue, Corsicana, is endeavoring to build family, church and community relations. At 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 it will host a Back to School Program giving away backpacks and school supplies, in order to assist low and no income families with this expense. There will also be refreshments on the grounds. You are invited to come and worship with them, special guest will be Pastor Steven Warren of the McDonald COGIC i Palestine. Come and be blessed.

Sixth Avenue Baptist Church and its Reaching Out To You Ministry, is calling all teams for a Volleyball Tournament to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. It will be held at LIving Word Christian Fellowship, 3900 FM 744, Corsicana. Registration is $10 per team and you may register at the door. There will be teams for ages 13 and up, and ages 12 and under. For more information contact Evangelist C. Dawson at (903) 257-8330.

 First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin, Corsicana Kidz Day Out Preschool Program is now enrolling children ages 6 weeks old through Pre-K for the Fall. Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church, 1300 FM 3041, where Elvin Sikes serves as Pastor would like to invite everyone to our worship services.  Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church is located on Old Roane Road a half mile east of I-45.  Sunday worship begins at 8:30 a.m.  There is a short time of fellowship and Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m.  Wednesday night services begin at 6:30 p.m.  We would also like to invite all women to a special time of fellowship and Bible study.  It is held every second and fourth Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall.  (Light lunch and childcare will be provided.)
