The 32nd Annual Piecemakers’ Quilt Show will take place at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave. Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. A quilt will be raffled off as part of the annual show. Oct. 10

James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 3 p.m. at the Kinsloe House. Chapter Regent Jan Warren will provide a report about the Fall Forum guidance for the new year of service. Hostesses for the meeting will be Ellen Adair, Gelene Simpson and Cynthia White.

Kinsloe House will present an interesting program for members on Oct. 10, 2012 at 12 noon.  The program will be Kay McConaughey. She recently had a small role on the movie “Bernie,” based on a true story in Carthage, Texas. Her son, Matthew, played a major role in the movie. She will share her experiences making this movie. She has written a book that will be available for purchase at this event. Hostesses for this program will be Margaret Thomas, Beverly White, Jan Moore, Pat Howell, Marsha Damero, Joyce Morris, and Carolyn French.  Reservations and cancellations should be made by calling Kinsloe House at (903) 874-5791 no later than noon Monday, Oct.8.

Oct. 11

     The Senior Dems will meet at the Navarro Democratic Party HQ at 416A W. Third Street (1 blk W of Court House) on Thursday, Oct 11 at 5 p.m. to support the fund raiser for Kenneth Sanders who is running for U.S. Congressman.  We will travel from there to the MLK Center at 114E Sixth Ave. to meet the candidate at 6:30 p.m.

The Corsicana Newcomers' Club Lunch Bunch will dine at Applebee's at 11:30 a.m. Please call Pat Schroeder at (903) 872-9663 to save your spot at the table.
