Corsicana — A Charity Benefit Musical to benefit the Navarro County Family Services and the Navarro County Food Pantry will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Lifeline Fellowship Family Church, 5301 W. Hwy 31. Please come and support the organizations that help many families with food, clothing, medicine and spiritual guidance. You can help with a monetary donation, canned goods, or non-perishable items. Sponsored by Catherine Wright, Ruby Williams, and Family Service board members. Big C Jamboree will be held at 7 p.m. at Martin’s Music Hall, 201 S. Beaton. Starring Zanada Schoppert, Chuck Wiginton, Ron Sikes, Joe Honea, Jody Thomas, and Bobby Fluker, emcee, with Fred Hayes, Billy Roy Mitcham and Stan Lawhon. Holiday Tour of Homes to benefit the Blooming Grove Historical Society will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at the homes of David and M’lis Long, Chad Briggs, Tim Nicholson, Sherry Smith, and Jean Hinkle. Bobcat Bistro will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kerens Ex-Students Association (KESA) Building in downtown Kerens. Chef for the day is Claude Armstrong. Meals are $9 for adults, and $4 for children. Takeouts are available. All proceeds (including tips) go to the KESA program. Reservations are not necessary but are appreciated. On the menu is Cranberry Baked Chicken with Rice Pilaf, or Beef Stroganoff and Noodles. Choose two of these vegetables: steamed carrots, roasted vegetables, or spinach mandarin almond salad, choice of desserts between cherry cheesecake squares and red velvet cake.
