Corsicana — Roane Chapel Full Gospel Church, 100 South Parham, Corsicana, invites you to its Family and Friend Day at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013. Guest speaker will be Pastor Robert Lee of Chatfield Baptist Church. Come looking for blessings. Elder Harold Evans Sr., pastor. There will be a Soul Seeking Revival at 7 p.m.  nightly Aug. 6-9 with Rev. Glory Hawkins as guest speaker.

Westside Baptist Church, 1522 N. 24th St., invites children Kindergarten through sixth grade (completed) to attend its Vacation Bible School from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 15-19. This year’s theme is “SonWest Roundup, A Rip Roarin’ Good Time with Jesus.” It’s gonna be a cool, cool summer learning about Jesus with lots of music, Bible lessons, crafts, games, petting zoo, pony rides and more! Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. “And the Lord added to the church...” Acts 2:47. MBC is humbly grateful for the two additions to the membership this past week. The youth and sponsors  return home today (Friday) from Summer Camp. Preparations will now begin for the next Youth Led Sunday Morning Worship. The youth did a wonderful job a couple of weeks ago. Sunday services begin with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m., Morning Worship at 10:50 a.m. and Afternoon Worship at 4 p.m. Mid-week Adult Bible Study and youth devotional and activities in the Fellowship Hall and gymnasium begin each Wednesday at 7 p.m. Everyone who does not have a regular church home or just wishes to visit MBC will find warm fellowship and bible centered teaching. Come and be blessed.

Texas Southern Gospel School of Music will hold its closing concert of the 17th annual session at 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at Second Avenue Baptist Church. Come and be our guest for a wonderful evening of Southern Gospel Music at its best. There is no admission charge, and the public is invited to attend.

Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.
