Juneteenth festivities set for June 14 and 15

Corsicana — Juneteenth Festivities will kick off Friday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at the Drane Auditorium with the Annual Juneteenth Pageant. Six young ladies will vie for the title of Miss Juneteenth 2013, along with Little Miss JESA and Master Bear competitions. Gabrilelle Haynes, Diamond Miller, Tahrea Johnson, Kendall Renfro, Michela Renfro and Tabitha Bonner are the 2013 contestants.

On Saturday, June 15, Juneteenth parade participants will line up at 9 a.m. at Brookshire’s, and parade will begin at 10 a.m. ending at Bear Field. A program will follow at Bear Field afterward, with booths selling food, clothing, and more.
