Corsicana — Gilbert Hall said his son had told him a year ago he needed to remove a tree along the sidewalk in front of his house on West Third Avenue. Mother Nature helped take care of that task Sunday.
Gusty winds prevelant throughout the area helped bring down the tree into Hall's front yard.
The falling tree struck his house in only one spot, he said.
The National Weather Service reported wind gusts around 40 miles per hour for much of Sunday morning.
