A Corsicana woman found unresponsive at her home last Sunday died Thursday at Parkland Hospital.
Corsicana Police Chief Randy Bratton said his agency will be investigating the death of Carolyn Selby, 75, as a homicide.
Corsicana EMS personnel were called to Selby’s home in the 1000 block of North 23 1/2 Street in Corsicana about 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. She was unresponsive when police and first responders arrived at her home and was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital.
Selby was transferred from Navarro Regional to Parkland Hospital, where she died on Thursday.
Corsicana Police began an investigation a short time after Selby was hospitalized. Thursday, Bratton said the case was being investigated as a homicide.
Bratton said he was told by the Dallas Medical Examiner’s office that an autopsy on Selby was pending.
