  The Corsicana Newcomers' Club Lunch Bunch will travel to Ennis to dine at The Firehouse on Main Street.  Call Pat Schroeder at 903-872-9663 to make arrangements to car pool to Ennis for this fun day!

Jan. 11

Angels of Corsicana will meet at 9 a.m. at 1020 North Business 45. All ages are welcome. If anyone knows someone serving in harm’s way, please bring their address to the meeting so they can send a gift box to them. This will begin the 11th year of serving our military. Jan. 13

Woodmen of the World Lodge 5 will have its meeting at 6 p.m. in the Lodge Hall at 200 W. Oak Lawn. All members, their families and guests are cordially invited to attend.

The Republican Party of Navarro County will meet at 7 p.m. at the Republican headquarters at 111-B West Third Avenue in Corsicana. Candidates in the contested county-level 2014 Republican Primary Election will make presentations. A social time will begin at 6:30 p.m. saluting local elected officials. The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. For further information, please call 903-872-5072.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. We welcome any Veteran as an associate member who served honorably who does not meet the above criteria.

The National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees (NARFE, Chapter 1191), will hold its monthly meeting at the Ryan Buffet Restaurant in Waxahachie from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tina Rider, North Texas Longterm Care Ombudsman, will be guest speaker.
