The City Of Blooming Grove will hold its Monthly City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Blooming Grove City Hall, 200 S. Fordyce, Blooming Grove, TX  76626.

Jan. 8

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West 7th Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting.

The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend.  Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.  For further information, please call (903) 872-5072.

National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1191 will hold its monthly meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ryan’s Buffet in Waxahachie. Members and guests are welcome. Mr. Gregory Wilhelm will present a program on the legal aspects of life as a senior citizen. Heritage Oaks Retirement will have a Breast Cancer Benefit for Fran LaCoste from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. selling barbecue sandwich plates for $5, which includes sandwich, chips, drink and a mint.
