Corsicana Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will be at the Corsicana YMCA from 2 to 7 p.m. If you are low income (usually under $42K) or elderly, and in need of tax filing assistance, take advantage of this free program. This year VITA will see clients with apopintments first and then work with walk-ins. VITA is at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at the Kerens Library on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. Call George Burrell at (903) 879-2091 to schedule your appointment.

Navarro County Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 6 p.m. each Tuesday, in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 101 N. 14th St., Corsicana.  All are welcome to learn to give and receive support at the weekly meetings. On the first Tuesday of the month, Dr. Tom Sheriff, licensed psychologist, joins the group discussions on various aspects of mental health. This year we are seeing clients with appointments first and then we’ll work with our walk-ins. VITA will be at the YMCA in Corsicana on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 until 7 p.m. and Wednesdays in Kerens at the library from 1 until 4 p.m.  Call George Burrell at (903) 879-2091 to schedule your appointment.
