The Navarro College Adult Education Program has cancelled all February and March Orientation and Registration Workshops for GED and ESL classes. If you are interested in taking these classes, please contact the Adult Education office at (903) 875-7464 or 1-800-NAVARRO ext. 7464 for registration information.

American Cancer Society will hold its Bark For Life and Car Show at Bunert Park, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee for autos, with eight trophies to be given away.

The Navarro Council of the Arts present The National Tour of The Rainbow Fish for all kindergarten through second graders in Navarro County at The Palace Theatre. Corsicana Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will be at the Corsicana YMCA from 2 to 7 p.m. If you are low income (usually under $42K) or elderly, and in need of tax filing assistance, take advantage of this free program. This year VITA will see clients with appointments first and then work with walk-ins. VITA is at the YMCA on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at the Kerens Library on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. Call George Burrell at (903) 879-2091 to schedule your appointment.

Navarro County Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 6 p.m. each Tuesday, in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 101 N. 14th St., Corsicana.  All are welcome to learn to give and receive support at the weekly meetings. On the first Tuesday of the month, Dr. Tom Sheriff, licensed psychologist, joins the group discussions on various aspects of mental health.
