CISD reports suspicious activity at Fannin Elementary

Corsicana — In a press release issued Wednesday, the Corsicana Independent School District is alerting parents to suspicious activity was reported outside of Fannin Elementary School over the past several days.

On Friday, Feb. 15, a black or dark green Dodge Neon was reported as circling the school several time. The suspicious vehicle was reported to the Corsicana Police Department for further investigation, the release said.

On Tuesday, a parent reported that a black male approached his daughter after school and tried to get her to go to the fire station with him where he would take her to her dad. The parent reported this to the principal. The student identified the suspect as follows: Black male, approximately 5’10”, skinny build, 25-30 years of age, and clean-shaven. He was on foot and not seen with a vehicle in sight, according to the release.

Parents and students should be on alert and notify authorities immediately of any suspicious activity.
