A new medical practice in partnership with Navarro Regional Hospital is now offering comprehensive occupational medicine services.
CompCare of Navarro County opened on Nov. 11. The clinic currently shares space in the Family Clinic building, across from Navarro Regional Hospital.
CompCare will provide such services as work-related injury care, rehabilitation, preventive health services, worksite consultations, physical exams, DOT exams, drug and alcohol testing as well as OSHA testing requirements. Urgent care and walk-patients are accepted as well.
Patients visiting CompCare will be seen by physician James T. LoVerde, M.D., a member of the medical staff at Navarro Regional Hospital. LoVerde received his Doctor of Medicine degree from UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
“I’m very excited to be here in Corsicana and look forward to partnering with local industry and businesses to help improve on-the-job safety as well as the overall health of their employees,” LoVerde said.
Staffing and operations are overseen by Vicki Arnett, clinic director.
“Having been a part of the medical community in Navarro County for a number of years, I know firsthand that occupational medicine has been a service weakness,” Arnett said. “We are so fortunate to have someone as qualified and as dedicated as Dr. LoVerde to bring his expertise here and help fill that gap.”
CompCare of Navarro County is open 8 a.m. to 5 p .m. Monday through Friday and can be reached by telephone at 903-641-4299.
