JESA Bears Den will be the site of a planning meeting for the Juneteenth Pageant at 6 p.m. The Bear’s Den is located at 800 S. Second Ave. This is the deadline for turning in applications to be a pageant contestant.

The Navarro Council of the Arts presents Black Violin, Classical Musicians for all fifth through 12th graders at the Corsicana High School auditorium. Shows will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. both days. For more information contact the Navarro Council of the Arts at (903) 872-5411.
Navarro Regional Hospital Auxiliary will host a uniform sale in the hospital classrooms from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds wil benefit the NRH Auxiliary Scholarship Fund for students at Navarro College going into a medical field. Contact Connie Beal for more information at (903) 654-6892.

Blooming Grove Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Dept. The speaker will be retired football player and retired probation officer Ray Jacobs.
MOM (Musicians of Mildred) will hold a fundraising concert at 7 p.m. at Lane Gym at Mildred High School. Musicians of Mildred gives a college scholarship to a Mildred student with musical ability. Performing will be the Mildred High School Band, the 1977 Ag Band of Mildred, and many other groups and solo artists. Tickets are $5.
House of Refuge will hold its fifth annual fundraising concert at First Baptist Church sanctuary. The concert “Glorious” will begin at 7 p.m. Todd Jones will serve as emcee for the fifth time. Wes and Liz Haefs will return with an old favorite performance, joined by Billy Elias; Crystal Trevino; Shellie Buckley, Shellie O’Neal and the Fine Arts Dept. of Navarro College; Hispanic Fellowship Praise Team; Navarro College Students performing song in American Sign Language; Taylor Parks; Lydia Bailey, Todd Jones and Wayne Owen; Grace Worship Team; and Ruined and Redeemed from First Baptist Church, Kerens. This is the one big fundraiser the House of Refuge does each year. Please come out and hear great music and support a wonderful cause.
