Corsicana — The Navarro County Sheriff's Office is investigating the deaths of five people found dead Sunday at their home on NWCR 0149 near Rice.
Sheriff Elmer Tanner said in a press release deputies received a 9-1-1 call about 7 p.m. Sunday from a Spanish speaking male reporting a "multiple fatality incident' at the home, telling the dispatcher that five members of his family were deceased inside the residence.
Deputies dispatched to the scene found the bodies of two adults and three young children at the home.
Tanner said detectives remained at the scene Sunday night, and were concentrating their investigation inside the residence. He added that investigators have no reason to believe there are any other suspects at this time.
Tanner said the exact cause of death of the deceased individuals has not yet been confirmed. He said he had no reason to believe that foul play was involved in the deaths.
The identities of the five deceased individuals and that of the person who reported the deaths have not yet been released.
Tanner scheduled a press conference for 9 a.m. Monday at the Navarro County Sheriffs Office to address the investigation.
