First Baptist Church Corsicana is a Relay Collection Center for Navarro County for Operation Christmas Child. Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. Navarro County sister churches and friends are invited to work alongside Samaritan’s Purse in filling Christmas shoebox gifts to be sent to places that we could never reach. With each shoebox gift a child goes to a 12-week Bible Study class called The Greatest Journey teaching them about the love of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Millions of children, their parents, their grandparents and entire villages have been saved through the shoebox gifts. The goal for Navarro County is 1001 Christmas shoebox gifts. Pre-folded shoeboxes and brochures with details are available for pick-up at the FBC Family Life Center (at southeast corner of N. 15th St. and W. Fifth Ave.) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Lead your family, church, or organization to be a part of this special ministry. Check out details and testimonies at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ. Don’t miss out on this blessing.
