Corsicana — Angels of Corsicana Troop Support will meet at 10 a.m. at the American Legion, 624 N. Beaton, to help pack Christmas stockings for approximately 325 military personnel. There will be a free lunch provided by the American Legion Auxiliary immediately following the packing. All are welcome, including little ones. Donations are being received until Dec. 7 at the American Legion Hall between 8 and 10:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, contact Jean O’Connor at 903-851-2560.

The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the post. All members and prospective members are invited to attend. Dec. 9

Woodmen of the World Lodge 5's Christmas meeting will be at the Lone Star Room of the Kenneth Walker Dining Hall at Navarro College at 6 p.m.  You must RSVP for this catered meal, please call Trudy at 903-874-7050 or the office at 903-872-8468 to give a head count by Dec. 4.  Don't be late.

Dec. 10

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 W. Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. We welcome any Veteran as an associate member who served honorably who does not meet the above criteria.

The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend.  Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.  For further information, please call 903-872-5072.
