Corsicana — The Navarro County Grand Jury returned 36 indictments against 30 individuals when it met for its November session Thursday.

A father and son who were arrested by Sheriff’s deputies with a large cache of weapons, cash and drugs in October were both indicted on drug charges. Cipriano Ramirez Sr. and his son, Cipriano Ramirez Jr. were both indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance under one gram. The elder Ramirez was also indicted on charges of illegal dumping. It was the dumping that led to the discovery of the weapons and cash by sheriff’s detectives. The pair are likely facing federal weapons charges, said Navarro County District Attorney R. Lowell Thompson Jr.

Also indicted Thursday was James Randolf Presley on charges of possession of child pornography. Presley was arrested after investigator tracked down a computer “thumb drive” found in a local motel parking lot to him. The drive allegedly contained images of child pornography. Presley had spent the night in a local motel; the thumb drive was found by a vacationing family the next morning and turned over to police.

Christopher Dewayne Sneed was indicated on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child, stemming from a complaint made on Jan. 1, 2012. Continuous sexual abuse is defined as two or more instances with the same victim occurring over 30 days apart.
