Corsicana — Corsicana Apartment Association will hold a dinner meeting at 5:30 p.m. (social time) at Kinsloe House, 618 W. Third Ave. Guest speaker this month will be Paul Hooper, president and executive director of the Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce. Mildred Eagle Cheerleaders will host a hamburger basket fundraiser at the Mildred LIttle League games starting at 5:30 p.m. Kono-Ice Sno-Cones, Bounce House, Face & Hair Painting, Cotton Candy  plus many local vendors will be set up to display and sell their items. Each hamburger basket sold will come with a chance to win a prize through out the evening!  Hamburgers/Fries are $5. Many thanks to our local businesses and organizations volunteering their time to make this a successful event.  Donations will help with cheer camp and clinic expenses!  Please contact Jamie Kitchens at (903) 875-9729 or kitchensj@mildredisd.org for information to set up as a vendor.

The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. K.E.S.A. is raising money to build a Veterans Memorial in downtown Kerens. K.E.S.A. will host a fish fry to raise money for the Memorial from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Adult plates are $8 and kids 10 and under cost $4 per plate. Please come out and support this effort to recognize veterans in Kerens. All proceeds from Fish Fry will go the Veteran Memorial. Your support and donations will be appreciated.
