Corsicana — The Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre will hold auditions at 2:30 p.m. for Ken Ludwig’s hilarious comedy, “Moon Over Buffalo.”  Roles are available for two Men and one Woman: ages 50's-60's; one Woman:  age 70's-80's; two Women: Late teens-30's;  and two Men: Late teens-30's. Performance dates will be July 18 - 27, 2013. The madcap comedy is the story of Charlotte and George Hay who are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of “Cyrano de Bergerac,” ‘the revised, one nostril version’ and Noel Coward's “Private Lives,” when they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom because Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee. The theatre is located at 119 W Sixth Avenue in downtown Corsicana across from the post office.

The City Of Blooming Grove will hold its monthly city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Blooming Grove City Hall, 200 S. Fordyce, Blooming Grove.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild will meet at the Westhill Church of Christ for refreshments  and gossip from 9:30 a.m. til 10 a.m. After a short business meeting Linda Weeks will present a program on “Embroidery on Quilts.” Members and guests will then be able to browse many, many goodies brought by Melissa Picha, from the Compass Center Shop at her Quilt Retreat Center. All quilters and “wanna-be” quilters are invited. Bring a sack lunch and project to work on and  spend the afternoon at “Sit and Sew.” This is a great opportunity to see current projects of other quilters and get renewed inspirations. Blooming Grove Crime Watch will host District Judge James Lagomarsino at 7 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Dept.

The Providence Cemetery Association annual meeting will be held at 11 a.m. There will be a picnic lunch, meeting and work session.
