Corsicana — The Warehouse Living Arts Center will hold auditions for “Annie Get Your Gun,” by Irving Berlin, Herbert and Dorothy Fields as revised by Peter Stone. The auditions will be held in the WLAC Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m.  Callbacks will be on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Known as one of America’s best loved musicals, “Annie Get Your Gun” has principal and featured roles for seven adult men (18 & up), three adult women (ages 18 and up), two girls and one boy (ages 12 & up), several smaller speaking parts plus a large chorus of all ages. Production dates for the show are Nov. 21-22-23 and 24, 2013 and will be presented at the Palace Theatre.

Those planning to audition should dress to move (no flip flops, please), bring a prepared song and provide sheet music or recorded accompaniment. An accompanist as well as CD player will be provided. There will also be cold readings from the script. WLAC Executive Director Sandra M. Mahood is directing and David Timmerman is the musical director.

Anyone who will be unable to attend auditions on these dates but would like to be considered for casting should call the theatre by Monday, Sept. 16.  Each auditioner should bring school, work and vacation schedules in order to fill out a rehearsal availability form.  For more information, please call Sandra Mahood at (903) 872-5421. The theatre is located at 119 West Sixth Avenue in downtown Corsicana across from the post office.
