Pesticide applicator class scheduled

Corsicana — Private applicator training and testing is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Navarro County Expo Center, 4021 W. Hwy 22, Corsicana. The testing will be at 1 p.m. given by the TDA Representative. This is the last time that a TDA Representative will administer the exam on site, however trainings will continue.

This is the required four hour training that you must complete in order to obtain your private pesticide applicator license from the Texas Department of Agriculture. This license will allow agricultural producers to purchase ‘Restricted Use’ or ‘State Limited Use’ chemicals for the application on their private property. Commercial applicator exams can be offered upon request.  

The total cost is $60 for study manuals and the training. Study manuals are available in the Extension office and at the training. For those wishing to attend the training we ask that you please pick up your study manuals and note taking worksheets before the training in order to familiarize yourself with the material. Please RSVP by Sept. 11 at 903-654-3075.
