Proposed changes to the city of Corsicana’s Animal Control regulations will be considered by the Corsicana City Council when it meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Corsicana Government Center.
City Manager Connie Standridge said the changes include how the city deals with dangerous dogs, changes some of the definitions of the ordinance, and clarifies animal surrender and euthanasia policies. Standridge said the changes include bringing the language of some of the city ordinances into line with state law. The changes were approved by the city’s Animal Services Board, Standridge said.
Council members will also be asked to award a contract for the Beaton Lake Dam Rehabilitation project, cast votes for Mayor Chuck McClanahan to serve on the Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, approve funding for a Business Park Master Plan and award a contract for engineering services for the Texas Capital Fund project providing for infrastructure improvements to benefit the Corsicana Water and Adventure Park.
