Navarro Regional Hospital will hold a Diabetes Prevention Workshop once monthly for people with pre-diabetes or at risk for diabetes. These classese will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. The Diabetes Self-Management Comprehensive Program is an ongoing class for patients diagnosed with diabetes. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting.

The Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre will present the final show of the 2012 season with the opening of Jerry Herman’s MAME. The large cast with Cristin Denbow in the title role is directed by David Timmerman and assisted by Todd Jones. MAME, based on the novel by Patrick Dennis and the play “Auntie Mame” by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, will delight and entertain audiences with the captivating story and music. Show dates are: Nov. 15-16 & 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. The show will be presented at the Palace Theatre at 112 W 6th Avenue. Tickets are now on sale at the Warehouse Living Arts Center which is located at 119 West Sixth Avenue across from the post office.
