DAR to meet
James Blair Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Kinsloe House for a Veterans program arranged by Veterans Services Chairman Seley Fuller. Hostesses for the event will be Christine Williams and Seley Fuller.
Kinsloe House First Sunday luncheon
Kinsloe House‘s First Sunday Lunch for November will be Nov. 4, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is invited. Members and non-members must call the Kinsloe House at (903) 874-5791 by Nov. 1 by 3 p.m. to make reservations. You must give the time you wish to come and what you wish to eat. You may also call Jeani at (903) 229-5787 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org with your menu, reservations, and your dining time.
The menu will be Wisconsin Cheese soup with dippers. The entrée selections will be roast turkey with gravy or classic pineapple baked ham with classic southern dressing, buttery mashed potatoes, sweet corn and with it all will be Miss Debra’s wonderful rolls. Dessert will be pumpkin spice sheet cake with caramel pecan frosting or simply southern banana pudding. Cost will be $13 per person.
It’s a great place to come for a good meal, catching up on things with friends, and visiting. Everyone always has a great time.
Musical program on tap at Kinsloe
ABWA (American Business Women’s Association) Committee of Kinsloe House will present its program for the year on Nov. 7, 2012. The program is featuring well-known singers Byron Haynie and Zanada Talley Schoppert in a delightful musical program featuring country and western songs. This program will be fun for all attending Kinsloe House members.
The committee for this organization is headed by Jera O’Neal , chairperson; with Sandra Palmer, Barbara Watkins, Paula Jones, Martha McCarter, Betty Stokes, and Shirley Long.
Members are urged to wear their denim or dress casual and come prepared to enjoy some good toe-tapping country music.
