I need your help.
The Corsicana Residential Treatment Center has been a part of our community for over one hundred years. In my letter dated July 5, 2013, I requested citizens to help in the effort to save the facility. The process has evolved to the point that the Legislative Budget Board is now required to recommend a budget that may include the closing of the facility. It is my understanding that the Lt. Governor, David Dewhurst, must support the LBB recommendation for the closure to occur.
Now is the time for everyone to become involved in the efforts of the political leaders to save this facility. I am asking again for a small amount of your time to call the Lt. Governor’s office in order to convince him to not support a budget that would include closure of the Corsicana facility.
Please call David Dewhurst’s office at (512) 463-0001. Please clearly state your name and that you are calling in support of keeping the Corsicana TJJD facility open. I am still very optimistic that with an overwhelming citizen response, we can make a difference.
