Daily Sun launches pet contest

A chance to showcase your adorable pet online, in print

Corsicana — If you have an adorable doggie or a precious kitty — or even a ferret you’re fond of, your pet could be the winner of the Daily Sun’s Most Adorable Pet Contest underway now.

The online contest allows pet owners to nominate their pet as the “most adorable” on a special website set up to run the contest. Then, the public has a chance to cast votes on the most adorable pet, with the winner’s owners receiving a $200 gift certificate to a local veterinarian of their choice. Pets who finish second, third and fourth in the contest will receive a gift basket.

Pictures of all the entrants will appear in the Daily Sun on May 21, and the winning pets will be acknowledged in the Daily Sun print edition, online at www.corsicanadailysun.com, and in the July issue of Explore Magazine.

Entering and voting is easy — just follow the link from the Daily Sun’s website to enter, and vote.

There is a $10 registration fee to enter the contest, and votes for the “most adorable pet” are 50 cents each, with a minimum vote purchase of $5.

A portion of the proceeds from the contest will go to help some more adorable pets, through a donation to the Humane Society of Navarro County.

Registration is on now, and continues through 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17.

Voting starts at 5:01 p.m. on Friday, May 17, and continues through 5 p.m. May 30.

The winner will be announced in the June 1 print edition of the Daily Sun.

For complete contest rules and information, or to register your adorable pet, visit the Daily Sun’s website at www.corsicanadailysun.com.
