Corsicana — The Corsicana Newcomers' Club will hold its monthly meeting at Kinsloe House at 11a.m. We will be entertained by the Senior Activity Band and learn all about the activities available to residents through the Parks & Recreation Department Director, Sharla Allen.  Call Marge Oslick at (903) 872-3508 for more information and confirmed reservations.

The Inaugural Oil Baron’s Ball will benefit Derrick Days and VOICE. The black tie event will feature fine food, entertainment and dancing. Enjoy the atmosphere in a newly renovated historic downtown building in historic downtown Corsicana. Valet parking available. Reservations required, limited space. Community National Bank & Trust will sell sausage on a stick for a Navarro County Relay for Life fundraiser. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the bank parking lot there will be a combo deal with chips and a drink for $5, and sausage only for $3.

Corsicana Palace Theatre, 112 W. Sixth Ave., presents its Derrick Days concert featuring Randy Brown Band at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and $25, and includes concert, dinner and drinks. For more information contact the Palace at (903) 874-7792.

The American Legion, Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will be closed this day only due to the Derrick Days events.

Gospel Jubilee will be held at Martins Music Hall, 102 S. Beaton. Doors open at 6 p.m., Show starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. Southern Joy Quartet will perform, joined by Carolyn Cobb with the Heavenly Highways Band, comprised of Elias Lowe, Gary Poe and Jody Thomas. If you’re looking for some good entertainment, we’ve got it!

Pattison Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting at 2 p.m. at Emhouse Methodist Church. This cemetery operates on donations for upkeep, so please come out for the meeting if you have loved ones buried here.
