The Ninth Annual VOICE Spring Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. at The Cook Center. The VOICE Spring Luncheon is a traditional fundraiser held each year to gain support for VOICE programs and services provided to children and families. This year will feature a red-carpet style theme with a fashion show, a silent auction, and will be emceed by national renowned Joan Rivers impersonator Ellie Weingardt. Navarro County AARP Chapter 4653 will meet at 2 p.m. in Northwest Apartments Community Room, 1360 N. 13th Ave. Laura Tesmer, marketing director for Cedar Lake Home Health and Hospice will present the program. Margaret Evans, Barbara Wilson and Martha Miller will provide refreshments. A short Derrick Days report will be given by Cathy Douglas.
