Nominations underway for annual Daily Sun contest

Corsicana — It’s time to nominate your favorites for the annual “Best of the Best” contest sponsored by the Corsicana Daily Sun.

This year’s contest marks the 17th annual “Best of the Best” competition, a fun way to pay tribute to your favorites in a variety of categories of business, people and life in Navarro County.

The nomination period for the online contest is underway and will run through noon on June 25. Voting for the “Best of the Best” will begin at 12:01 p.m. on June 25 and continue through 5 p.m. on July 12. The final votes will be tallied and the winners of the 2013 “Best of the Best” contest will be announced shortly after the contest closes.

Nominations and voting will take place online at a special “Best of the Best” website that participants can link to from the Corsicana Daily Sun’s online newspaper at www.corsicanadailysun.com. All votes are free.

In order to nominate businesses or to vote in the contest, you must register your email address at the contest website. One vote per day per I.P. address will be allowed during the voting period. Complete rules for the contest are posted on the contest website, and all decisions of the Corsicana Daily Sun are final.

Make your nominations now, and cast your free votes for the “Best of the Best” beginning June 25.
