The Love Chapel Baptist Church located at 400 North Benton Street will celebrate the Ninth Pastoral Anniversary of their Pastor, David E. Wilson and Wife, Minister Sharron D. Wilson at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013.  God has blessed Pastor and Minister Wilson and they are dedicated and faithful servants unto God and the ministry at the Love Chapel Baptist Church.  The theme for this occasion is: "Commissioned To Preach The Gospel" from the scripture text  II Cor. 4:1-5.  Guest churches are: Johnson Memorial COGIC, Elder Joseph Johnson, Sr., Pastor;  Church Of The Living God, Bishop Annell Haney, Pastor; Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Alvin E. Wesley United Methodist Church will welcome its new minister, Rev. Kevin Diggs, his wife Amy, and daughter Grace at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday, June 23, 2013. A lunch will be enjoyed after the service. All are welcome to come fellowship with us.



The DIVAS 2 (Divinely, Inspired, Virtuous, Anointed Sisters) Women’s Ministry of the Liberty Tabernacle of God, 2708 W. The New Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor D. R. Watson, 1808 W. 10th Ave., cordially invite the general public to celebrate the sixth appreciation service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Special guest church will be the New Bethel Baptist Church of Goodlow, with Rev. E. Betts bringing the message. There will also be other churches on the program. Mistress of ceremony will be Sis. Lois Ballard, welcome will be given by Sis. Joann Green, asst. pastor and wife Deacon Don Jones and Sis. Cynthia Jones and others. Rev. Green has been a member of New Cornerstone since the church was organized in 2001. He expressed his calling to pastor not long after that and has been on an uphill journey since then. he has been diligent in his ministry as a father, and as a husband. He and his lovely wife Trina were joined together in matrimonial bliss Jan. 1, 2013 and she became his helpmate in the ministry. He is devoted to his calling and to his pastor and church. These two young people are devoted to each other and to all of their children. Sis. Green has done everything to promote his ministry, from serving as president of the choir, working with the youth, helping on the kitchen committee, and a strong supporter of the church and her family. She is a dedicated wife, mother, friend and church leader.  Pastor Watson and the New Cornerstone Family would be excited to see to see you there to celebrate this lovely couple for six years of exceptional service to the Lord and New Cornerstone at 3:30 Sunday, June 23, 2013.

First Baptist Church , 510 W. Collin in Corsicana, is having Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Monday-Friday, June 24-28  for boys and girls who have completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at Navarro College, in the Lone Star Room at the cafeteria at 6:45 a.m on Wednesday mornings. Please note the return to usual venue. Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2105 E. Jones Ave., will hold Vacation Bible School June 24-28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly. The Women Of Glory Ministry will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church located at 400 South 15th Street where Alvin E. Smith serves as Pastor.  On last month the Women of Glory Ministry had the opportunity to go out and witness for Christ and share Jesus to the residents at the Eastside Apartments.  Some residents were not home, but we left tracts at their homes to let them know that we are concerned.  The Women of Glory are transformers and it is our goal and purpose to be witnessess, and to impact the Kingdom of God. Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue, Corsicana will hold its Annual Youth Day Service on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.  Special guests will be God's Holy Temple COGIC, Corsicana, and its pastor, Eric Grant, Sr. will bring the message.  Captains for this year's service will be:  Jazzton Williams and Michaela Williams; Anaria Brown and DeMarcus Williams; Tamia Smith and Tadrian Hervey; and Amiriya Perkins and Alexis Barrett.  All are welcome to come and see our youth in action. Isaac Wells of Johnson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Malakoff will be delivering the message for this occasion. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. At this writing, Vacation Bible School is in full session. The VBS commencement will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Mission is not only part of our name but also part of our ministry. Bro. Estrada from one of the ABA supported Missions in Mexico will present an overview of his work during the Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:50 a.m. immediately following Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. The church will also receive the Lord's Supper at the close of the Morning Worship. This Sunday only, lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall and the Afternoon Worship will begin soon thereafter rather than at the usual 4 p.m. time. Wednesday evening services resume this week at 7 p.m. for both the Adult Bible Study and Youth Program. Preparations for camp are being finalized for the week of July 8. All are welcome at MBC. That Church at 3640 N. Bus. 45 will host a Freedom Celebration at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30. Bring your lawn chair and be our guest for hot dogs, chips, homemade ice cream, bounce houses, games for all ages and a Patriotic Musical Tribute to America. Open Mic entertainment — bring your instrument or soundtrack and share your talent on our outdoor stage. Gospel, Patriotic and Family Friendly music only. There will be a Fireworks Display at the water’s edge at 9 p.m.



First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin, Corsicana Kidz Day Out Preschool Program is now enrolling children ages 6 weeks old through Pre-K for the Fall. Amelia Barton Church of the Living God, 917 G.W. Jackson, Corsicana, invites all to come and worship and celebrate the church anniversary. First Baptist Church of Eureka, 8718 S Hwy 287, Eureka, is hosting a Fish Fry Fundraiser and free garage sale from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. FBC Eureka will celebrate Family and Friends day June 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. with an outdoor picnic. Everyone is welcome and invited to join us. Bring a potluck dish or two and some drinks and join us for an afternoon of fellowship, games and fun. Faith Lutheran Church will host a benefit dinner and pie auction on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 6 p.m. for Bob Diehl.  Bob is a long-time resident of Corsicana who is finding it difficult to meet his monthly obligations following the death of his wife Imogene earlier this year.  Donations will be matched by Thrivent for Lutherans.



Unity Baptist Church, 101 S. 30th St., where Chad Owens is Pastor, invites you to services: Sunday School 9:45 a.m. Sunday: worship and children’s church at 11 a.m., worship at 6 p.m., and Wednesday: Prayer meeting at 7 p.m., Kings Kids class meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church, 1300 FM 3041, where Elvin Sikes serves as Pastor would like to invite everyone to our worship services.  Petty’s Chapel Baptist Church is located on Old Roane Road a half mile east of I-45.  Sunday worship begins at 8:30 a.m.  There is a short time of fellowship and Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m.  Wednesday night services begin at 6:30 p.m.  We would also like to invite all women to a special time of fellowship and Bible study.  It is held every second and fourth Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall.  (Light lunch and childcare will be provided.)

Grief Share, sponsored by Northside Baptist Church, meets from 5 to 7 p.m. each Sunday at the Fellowship Center on Forest Lane (across the street from Northside). This is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. Each Grief Share session includes a video seminar and group discussion. Grief Share is a non-denominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.
