Church News for June 21, 2013


Corsicana — The Women Of Glory Ministry will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Straight Way Missionary Baptist Church located at 400 South 15th Street where Alvin E. Smith serves as Pastor.  On last month the Women of Glory Ministry had the opportunity to go out and witness for Christ and share Jesus to the residents at the Eastside Apartments.  Some residents were not home, but we left tracts at their homes to let them know that we are concerned.  The Women of Glory are transformers and it is our goal and purpose to be witnessess, and to impact the Kingdom of God. So a special invitation is given to all women to come and fellowship with us.  For it is our prayer that you will not leave the way you came, in Jesus Name. Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue, Corsicana will hold its Annual Youth Day Service on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.  Special guests will be God's Holy Temple COGIC, Corsicana, and its pastor, Eric Grant, Sr. will bring the message.  Captains for this year's service will be:  Jazzton Williams and Michaela Williams; Anaria Brown and DeMarcus Williams; Tamia Smith and Tadrian Hervey; and Amiriya Perkins and Alexis Barrett.  All are welcome to come and see our youth in action. Sis. Annie Solomon and Sis. Shirley Colbert are Youth Directors; Minister Chasity Portis is Youth Choir Director; Minister Vanessa Baker is First Lady; and Bishop John Baker is pastor.

 Grace Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 402 East 14th Avenue, Corsicana, invite the public to celebrate Men's Day with them on June 23, 2013 at 3 p.m. Rev. Isaac Wells of Johnson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Malakoff will be delivering the message for this occasion. This invitation isn't exclusive to the men; women and children are also invited to come and share in this worship experience. Brother Larry Deeds, chairperson; Brother Marshall Deeds, co-chairperson; Reverends Michael and Joann Donaldson, pastors.
