Corsicana — Second Mission Baptist Church, 909 S. Fifth St., Corsicana, Larry L. Polk Sr., pastor is holding its annual Family and Friends Day at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Theme is “A Life Worth Living,” II Peter 1:3. Speaker will be Pastor Richard W. Williams of the Greater New Faith Baptist Church of Troup. Come and be blessed by the word of God.

Fourth Sunday Night Singing sponsored by the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Streetman. Rev. Donnie Watson of The New Cornerstone Baptist Church is the guest speaker. Pastor Joe Hubbard, host pastor. Everyone is invited. Dairy Johnson Sr. is president.

The Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2105 E. Jones Ave., and its Pastor Aide Department will host its Annual Day at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Theme: II Corinthians 5:17 — God does not call the qualified! He qualifies the CALLED. Guest Churches: Greater Love Outreach Church, Bishop William Lewis; Gethsemane Baptist Church, Dallas, Pastor Vincent Collier will bring the message and The Gospel Five of Corsicana will provide music. Sis. Joan Lee will be the Mistress of Ceremony, Welcome by Sis. Ava Jackson, occasion by Bro. Fred Hall and Presentation by Bro. Leroy Johnson. Please come and help us celebrate this man of God.

Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. At this writing, Vacation Bible School is in full session. The VBS commencement will be tonight at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Mission is not only part of our name but also part of our ministry. Bro. Estrada from one of the ABA supported Missions in Mexico will present an overview of his work during the Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:50 a.m. immediately following Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. The church will also receive the Lord's Supper at the close of the Morning Worship. This Sunday only, lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall and the Afternoon Worship will begin soon thereafter rather than at the usual 4 p.m. time. Wednesday evening services resume this week at 7 p.m. for both the Adult Bible Study and Youth Program. Preparations for camp are being finalized for the week of July 8. All are welcome at MBC.
