Corsicana — Second Mission Baptist Church, 909 South Fifth St., Corsicana; Larry L. Polk, Sr. Pastor is holding its annual Family and Friends Day. June 23, 2013 at 3:30 p.m., Theme: “A Life Worth Living”, 2 Peter 1:3 . Speaker will be Pastor Richard W. Williams of the Greater New Faith Baptist Church of Troup, Texas. Come and be blessed by the word of God.

That Church at 3640 N. Bus. 45 will host a Freedom Celebration at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30. Bring your lawn chair and be our guest for hot dogs, chips, homemade ice cream, bounce houses, games for all ages and a Patriotic Musical Tribute to America. Open Mic entertainment — bring your instrument or soundtrack and share your talent on our outdoor stage. Gospel, Patriotic and Family Friendly music only. There will be a Fireworks Display at the water’s edge at 9 p.m.

First Baptist Church, 510 W. Collin, Corsicana Kidz Day Out Preschool Program is now enrolling children ages 6 weeks old through Pre-K for the Fall. The program operates Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., September through May.  More information can be found at or by contacting the church office at (903) 872-7473.  

Amelia Barton Church of the Living God, 917 G.W. Jackson, Corsicana, invites all to come and worship and celebrate the church anniversary. Special guest speaker for the service at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013 is Rev. D.R. Washington Sr. of New Victory in Christ Sanctuary. Special guest group is The Spiritual Disciples of Dallas. Theme is “Christ, the Solid Rock” from Matt. 7:25. Come and be blessed in the Lord. There will be dinner served following the service. Biship J.D. Morgan, pastor.

First Baptist Church of Eureka, 8718 S Hwy 287, Eureka, is hosting a Fish Fry Fundraiser and free garage sale from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. FBC Eureka will celebrate Family and Friends day June 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 or 5 p.m. with an outdoor picnic. Everyone is welcome and invited to join us. Bring a potluck dish or two and some drinks and join us for an afternoon of fellowship, games and fun. FBC Eureka would like to invite anyone searching for a home church to visit with us in our Sunday morning service beginning at 11 a.m. We are a relaxed, comfortable, casual dress, family oriented church, with a loving and caring congregation.
