Navarro County Electric Cooperative recently announced the recipients of scholarships awarded for 2013.
Recipients for the scholarships awarded by Navarro County Electric Cooperative are Karol Harlin, Christine Karako, Ashleigh Bugg, Brianna Taylor, Lucas Avery-Thomas White, Sara Raines, and Shelli Andrews-Cook.
Karol Harlin attends the University of North Texas of Dallas, and is married to John Harlin of Palmer. Ms. Harlin is pursuing a degree in accounting.
Christine Karako attends the University of Dallas, and is the daughter of Les and Regina Karako of Ennis. Christine is pursuing a degree in Chemical Lab and plans to be a Chemist.
Ashleigh Bugg attends the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, and is the daughter of Eric and Sharon Bugg of Corsicana. Ashleigh is pursuing a degree in Communications and Journalism.
Brianna Taylor attends Palmer High School, and is the granddaughter of Pamela Carter of Waxahachie. Brianna will be pursuing a degree in the field of nursing.
Lucas White attends Corsicana High School and is the grandson of Dave and Carol Jenkins of Corsicana. Lucas will be pursuing a degree related to the Music Business.
Sara Raines attends Navarro College and is the daughter of Richard Raines and Rozanna Pardee of Dawson. Sara is pursuing a degree in education for a career as a teacher.
Shelli Andrews-Cook attends the University of North Texas and is married to James Cook of Waxahachie. Shelli is pursuing a degree in education for a career as a teacher.
There were 55 applications submitted for the seven $6,000 scholarships awarded his year.
Navarro County Electric Cooperative, Inc. is located in Corsicana, is member-owned and provides electric service in portions of Navarro, Ellis, Freestone, Hill, and Limestone Counties.
