The City Of Blooming Grove will hold its Monthly City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Blooming Grove City Hall, 200 S. Fordyce, Blooming Grove, TX 76626.
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West 7th Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting.
The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend. When Are We Going Home Ministry will hold Rising Star Creative Ministry at New Beginnings Family Fellowship in Blooming Grove at 6 p.m. All events are free and open to children with medical challenges, disabilities and special needs and their immediate siblings. www.whenarewegoinghome.com.
The Kinsloe House Membership committee, headed by Arlene Stewart, will present its program on at 12 noon. The membership committee members are Kathryn Corley, Rita Edens, Lynda Green, Kay Hable, Peggy Herod, Jan Noblett, Kay Sharp, Pearl Skewes, and Lana Stites. The program is titled “Showing the Light Through the Stain Glass Windows.” Jan Noblett will provide a historical summary of the 116-year-old windows in the First Methodist Church with a slide presentation of the restoration of these windows as they are removed, reworked, and reinstalled into their original locations. After the program, attending members are invited to walk across to the church to see these windows. Reservations and cancellations must be made by Monday, Jan. 7 at 12 noon by calling (903) 874-5791.
