Gospel Jubilee will be held at Martin’s Music Hall, 102 South Beaton, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and show starting at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. Show will feature the Praise Team of First Baptist Church, Blooming Grove: Misti, Kenneth, Cort and Steve — Southern Gospel Music at its Best. Also, Carolyn Cobb and the Heavenly Highways Band with Elias Lowe, Gary Poe and Jody Thomas will perform. If you are looking for some great entertainment — we got it!!

A benefit dinner and show will be held for Brittany Martin, to raise sponsorship for her trip to Italy, where she was selected to tour with the United States International Soccer Team in June 2013. Dinner will be served beginning at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Community Center, 201 S. Dallas St., Rice. Mike Garrett from Anton will perform his “Elvis” Show at 7 p.m. Mike is well-known in the Lubbock area for his Elvis performances and other band entertainment. This kind of opportunity is a chance of a lifetime and a dream come true. Please come join in helping Brittany live her dream and proudly represent the USA.

Heart of Texas Road Gang will be playing the VFW dance from 8 p.m. to midnight. There is no charge for admission but donations will be accepted at the door to help pay the band. Come out and dance to good old traditional country music!

Knights of Columbus will host a Casino Night from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Halll, 3801 W. Hwy 22. Tickets are $30 each, and includes $3,000 in chips. Tickets are available at the door. For an addition $20 double your chips to $6,000. Proceeds benefit the Knights of Columbus Charities. Barbecue sandwiches and drinks will be sold starting at 6 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top five players, Grand Prize is a 40 inch flatscreen LCD TV.
