Corsicana — A listing of meetings and events of interest from throughout Navarro County
The newly organized Silver Dems will meet at 5 p.m. at the Navarro Democratic Party HQ at 416A W. Third Street (one block West of Court House). We will be socializing and munching from plates that you bring so be generous with the sweet treats and wear your best smile. We will soon be approving by-laws and electing officers and committees so your leadership skills will be needed. Come and join the Party! The group’s main purpose is to discuss and protect issues important to folks over 50 years young and educate ourselves on benefits from the government and civilian organizations that are available and earned by Senior Citizens and Veterans.
The Emhouse Community Center membership potluck meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Come join us! Anyone is welcome.
Navarro County Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance meets at 6 p.m. each Tuesday, in the fellowship hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 101 N. 14th St., Corsicana. All are welcome to learn to give and receive support at the weekly meetings. On the first Tuesday of the month, Dr. Tom Sheriff, licensed psychologist, joins the group discussions on various aspects of mental health. For more information call (903) 872-6302 or (903) 874-6815.
