Corsicana — Intercessors for Navarro County Men’s Prayer Breakfast will meet at The Ark on N. Beaton at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday and carpool to First Baptist Church in Kerens. Westminster's XYZ (Extra Years of Zest) invites members and friends in the community to share lunch and good company on Tuesday, May 21 at 11:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Westminster Presbyterian Church.  Dr. Tommy Stringer will present an interesting program about Memorial Day and the flag.  Bring a salad or dessert; entree is provided.  Call Westminster for more information: (903) 874-3781.

New Victory in Christ Sanctuary, 805 S. 15th St., will celebrate its Fourth Usher Annual at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16. Guest church is Beulah Baptist Church of Wortham, with speaker Pastor John Delancy. Mistress of Ceremony  is Sis. Julia Hernandez, with welcome by Sis. Sonji Washington. Occasion will be by Sis. Jackie Wilkinson. Sis. Margaret Ricard is president of the usher board. The public is invited to join in this joyous occasion.

Navarro Mills Baptist Church will have a huge garage sale Saturday, May 25 beginning at 8 a.m., complete with barbecue and watermelon. This will be a fundraiser for Youth Camp.

Grace Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, 402 East 14th Ave., Corsicana, will be celebrating its Friends & Family Day on May 26, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Rev. John Holmes of the Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Palestine will be delivering the message for this occasion. The public is invited to come and celebrate this special day with the Grace Temple family.
