United Way funding applications available

Corsicana — Applications for 2014 financial assistance from United Way of Navarro County are  now available May 15, 2013.  The applications can be obtained at the United Way of Navarro County office at 115 North Main Street, or through the organization’s web site, www.unitedwayofnavarrocounty.com.

Agencies requesting funding from United Way of Navarro County must apply for funding of a specific program or service.  Agencies must have an approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization designation from the Internal Revenue Service to be eligible to receive United Way funding.  

New applicants for United Way assistance must attend an orientation session to be eligible to apply. This orientation also applies to new Directors of previously funded programs.  The orientation will be held in the large board room at the Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce office on Monday, June 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Groups or organizations with questions about the funding applications or process can contact Marianne Mitchell, Executive Director of the United Way of Navarro County, at (903) 874-5253.
