The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will host Karaoke Night with Country Sue from 8 p.m. to midnight. The Navarro County Democratic Party will hold a county convention at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Navarro County Courthouse first floor. All Democrats are asked to attend.

Mildred Baptist Relay for Life Team is having a spaghetti dinner and auction this Saturday, March 22 starting at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is for a donation only. For more inforrmation, contact Tom Miles at Mildred Baptist is located at 5502 S USHighway 287, across from Mildred ISD.

Benefit for Mark Sheffield from 12 noon on at The Remington. He is a local musician with acute diabetes, as well as infection in his foot and leg. He is not able to work and has no insurance. A group of friends, supported by the CHS Class of 1975, will have plate lunchs for $10, a raffle with a grill included, as well as live bands — Sloan McCain, Courtney Prater, John Epperson and the Drivin Blind Band and David Zycheck and the MOJO Assassins. State Representative Byron Cook will be the featured speaker at a meeting of the Navarro County Republican Women. Social time and lunch begin at 11:30 followed by the meeting and program beginning promptly at noonat the Republican Headquarters, 111-B West Thirrd Ave. Rep.
