God’s Holy Temple COGIC presents A Time of Celebration and Elevation when it celebrates the fourth service anniversary of Pastor and Wife Eric and Lady Jackie Grant at 12 noon Sunday, March 30. Special guest speaker is Pastor Terry Washington and The Word of Faith Community Church, Houston. Other guests will be Greater Love Outreach Fellowship Church, Bishop William Lewis Jr., pastor; True Deliverance Outreach COGIC, Pastor Shirley Lucas. Come and enjoy the celebration of the Lord. Dinner will be served.



Navarro Mills Baptist Church will hold Spring Revival Services March 30th through April 2nd.  Dr. Woody Wilson, pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Palestine, will be our evangelist and Wayland Hazel will lead in worship.  Join us starting Sunday morning at 11 a.m. and then each evening at 6:30 p.m. For more information, please call (254) 578-1560.

Wesley United Methodist Church, 3308 N. Beaton, will host a Fifth Sunday Singing and Dinner Sunday, March 30. The Douglas Family will perform from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a lasagna dinner which will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Take out dinners available.

Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2105 East Jones Ave., is hosting a Spring Revival to begin Sunday, March 30 through Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. nightly. Theme: Lord, revive us again, Psalm 85:6. Evangelist will be Pastor Fabian K. Jacko of Greater Golden Gate Baptist Church of Dallas. Sunday night is sponsored by the Mission Society; Monday by the Deacons; Tuesday by the Senior Choir; Wednesday by the Youth/Young Adults and Thursday night is sponsored by the General Church.     A baseball coach at heart, about a year ago Aaron Tidwell began to seriously focus on education administration. He just didn’t think an opportunity would present itself so soon. Mildred Independent School District board members approved the 31-year-old Corsicana native as the high school’s new principal Monday night.

    The Corsicana Police Department executed a raid on an alleged meth house Saturday afternoon, and it was done in about 45 minutes, all but the paperwork.
