— God’s Holy Temple COGIC presents A Time of Celebration and Elevation when it celebrates the fourth service anniversary of Pastor and Wife Eric and Lady Jackie Grant at 12 noon Sunday, March 30. Special guest speaker is Pastor Terry Washington and The Word of Faith Community Church, Houston. Wesley United Methodist Church, 3308 N. Beaton, will host a Fifth Sunday Singing and Dinner Sunday, March 30. The Douglas Family will perform from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a lasagna dinner which will be $8 for adults and $4 for children. Take out dinners available.



Mount Olive Baptist Church, 2105 East Jones Ave., is hosting a Spring Revival to begin Sunday, March 30 through Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. nightly. Theme: Lord, revive us again, Psalm 85:6. Evangelist will be Pastor Fabian K. Jacko of Greater Golden Gate Baptist Church of Dallas. Lakeside Methodist on FM 416 will host “Holy Smoked” BBQ and MusicFest, April 5, 5 p.m.to 9 p.m. Barbecued brisket and pork plus all the fixin's are available for $8 for adults and $4 for children, plus a great mix of secular and gospel music, kids' activities, an old-fashioned hymn-sing and lots of fun for area residents. The Cowboy Church of Corsicana, 5864 W. Hwy 31, invites the public to join us every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for a worship and praise service. Derek Rogers serves as Pastor. A nursery for infants and care for small children is provided during the worship service. Bible Study is conducted every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Seating has been expanded with the opening of the new part of our building. More parking is also available now. The Corsicana and the Ennis Cowboy Churches are joining for 2014 Playdays  and Youth Rodeo Buckle Series. The first Playday will be held at the Ennis Church on Saturday, April 5. Missionary Baptist Church, 405 S. 15th Street, Corsicana. God is so good! Two people came forward Sunday professing Jesus Christ as Savior. May God bless and protect these new believers as they begin their new lives in Christ. MBC will observe the Lord's Supper at the close of this week's 10:50 a.m. Morning Worship. Sunday School and Afternoon Worship begin at 9:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday services begin at 7 p.m. and Friday Night Fun Night for all ages starts at 6 p.m. All are welcome to any and all of these services and classes. April 6 is a special day. The youth of the church will be in charge of the morning services with lunch immediately following for all. Harmony Baptist Church, 400 East 12th Avenue, will hold an appreciation service for its musicians on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 8 p.m. Those honored at this service will be: Patrick Colbert, Organist/Bass Guitarist and Christopher Meankins, Drummer/Percussionist.  Northside Baptist Church offers Grief Share, a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close. Grief Share is non-denominational and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. A 13-week course begins Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Northside Baptist Church. The meeting will be in the white house across the street from Northside, 222 Forest Lane  beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m. You will have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss, learn from their experiences and share your own.
